Illustration was a key sector of my creative endeavours within the publication. The Illustrations that I made were to accompany the submissions on the site. Naturally, these Illustrations needed to fulfil a certain criterion. By being aesthetically pleasing, insightful and seductive, the illustrations would add intrigue to the text. With “rapid development of technology, text and graphics have been commonly used in digital learning,” (Ibenegbu,2020), our audience is used to a multimedia experience. Because of this, the target audience of the publication (students) would accustomed to this format. Lacking this, would mean that their attention span would be significantly reduced, subsequently spending less time consuming our product. So, with this in mind I put a large emphasis on these designs as they were going to become an intrinsic part of the project. Through the multitude of designs I made, I was able to create a specific style that captures a definite energy. I Believe the implementation of my own illustration style, brings depth to my portfolio, whilst allowing me to capture a sense of continuality within the project. The process of creating ten original designs this semester has given me the opportunity to thoroughly process my style, distilling it into a formula of sorts. This growth will be exponentially valuable as I proceed to investigate this field.
